Zakharova offered the West to pay off the countries of Africa

The collective West should think about its moral and financial responsibility to African countries for what they have done to a number of countries and continents over the centuries. This was announced on April 24 by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova.

She noted that Russia supports the principle of sovereign equality of states and non-interference in their internal affairs.

"The potential for developing cooperation between Russia and African countries is huge, and there is a mutual commitment to realize it. There are promising formats that represent platforms of multifaceted interaction independent of the West," the diplomat said at the IV Russia-Africa Forum: What's Next? and the I Russia-Africa Forum of Young Diplomats.

Zakharova stressed that the key point is that Russia and Africa view each other as equal partners, unlike the Western minority. She added that Western countries perceive the African continent only as a resource base.
