Residents of the Murmansk region gave more than 5 million rubles to fraudsters

Over the past 24 hours, five cases of Internet fraud have been registered in the Murmansk region. The total amount of damage exceeded 5 million rubles.
In three cases, the scammers, under various pretexts, convinced the victims to transfer funds to a "secure" account. The amount of damage amounted to over 3 million rubles, according to the Bi-port news agency.
In one case, a fraudster contacted a Northerner on behalf of law enforcement agencies. He convinced me to give 1.6 million rubles.
Another person lost 130 thousand rubles as a result of an online purchase. And one Murmansk resident transferred about 10 thousand rubles to fraudsters, believing in a scheme with investments.
In Yakutia, a 62-year-old woman lost more than 14 million rubles due to fraudsters. She expected to receive income from Internet investments. The pensioner lost 2.75 million rubles of her own funds, and also persuaded her friends to transfer 11.4 million rubles to outside accounts.
