Audi lost the "rings" specifically for China


Audi presented the first production model of the AUDI sub-brand, which is written in capital letters, at the Shanghai Motor Show. The logo is appropriate, but it doesn't have the usual four-ring nameplates. This was reported on April 24 by a correspondent of Izvestia.
The sub-brand was created jointly with the SAIC concern specifically for the Chinese market.
AUDI's debut model was the E5 Sportback five-door electric car. It borrows the design of last year's AUDI E concert. The length of the novelty is 4870 mm with a wheelbase of 2950 mm.
The flagship modification has a twin-engine unit with a capacity of 787 hp (800 Nm), which allows you to accelerate to 100 km / h in 3.4 seconds. The electric vehicle is based on an 800-volt architecture and is capable of replenishing the energy reserve in 10 minutes, which is enough for 370 km of travel.
The novelty has a fully-controlled chassis, advanced autopilot systems, a wide 27-inch full-width screen on the front panel, cameras instead of rear-view mirrors. Sales of the model in China will start this summer, prices have not yet been specified.
Earlier it became known that at the Shanghai Auto Show, Chery introduced the brand's new flagship SUV, the Tiggo 9L.
