In Moscow, work is underway to restore the appearance and interiors of almost 500 cultural heritage sites, said the mayor of the capital, Sergei Sobyanin.

One of the largest projects that the Moscow authorities are implementing jointly with the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation and the Russian Orthodox Church is the restoration of the Donskoy Monastery, Sobyanin emphasized in the Telegram channel. Three towers and the spinning wheels of the Eastern and Southern walls are being restored here.

Specialists are also engaged in the restoration of the interiors of the Main House of the Okhotnikov city estate on Prechistenka. In particular, walls, vaults, stretched cornices are being restored here, and stucco decorations are being cleaned.

In addition, work continues on the Tikhvin Church and the extension to the north gate. The specialists have put the white stone details and the plaster finish in order. The tiled stoves were restored in the annex, the mayor said.

Other iconic objects include the House with a mezzanine on Staraya Basmannaya, the 19th—century City Estate of Ya.A. Polyakov, the main house of the 18th–19th—century city Estate on Novinsky Boulevard, the Fyodor Chaliapin Memorial Museum.
