Russians have become more likely to prefer premium segment cars.

Buyers of popular models in the budget and mid-range price segments often consider cars of a higher class as an alternative. This is evidenced by the data of an analysis conducted by Avito Auto experts, which was received by Izvestia on April 24.
Potential owners of such mass-market models as Lada Granta, Ford Focus and Hyundai Solaris are most often interested in Kia Rio in the secondary market (7% of interest). The list of those that buyers pay attention to includes such models as Lada Vesta (5.5%) and Volkswagen Polo (3%). In addition, there is a noticeable interest in higher-end cars. In particular, the share of interest in the Toyota Camry with mileage is 6.1%, and in the Mercedes-Benz E-class — 2.2%.
Those who are looking for a higher-class car in the secondary market, for example, a Toyota Camry in the price range of 2.5-3 million rubles, often pay attention to cars with mileage in the premium or near-premium segments, and interest is aroused not only by similar models, but also by representatives of the SUV segment. The list of the most desirable alternatives included Toyota Land Cruiser (5.4%), Mercedes-Benz E-class (4.8%), Toyota Land Cruiser Prado (4.1%), Kia K5 (4%) and Toyota RAV4 (3.6%).
"The modern buyer freely "moves" between the secondary and new markets in search of the optimal offer. And this is quite rational: you can choose a higher—end option, but an earlier year of manufacture, or give preference to the most recent car, but from a more affordable segment," says Andrey Kovalev, director of the Used Cars department at Avito.
Earlier it became known that AvtoVAZ will hold an international conference of export partners in Dubai, where it will present key areas of development of the Lada brand in foreign markets.
