A new case of rabies was detected in the Sebezhsky district of the Pskov region. Quarantine has been introduced in the outbreak.
According to the Pskov news feed, the epizootic outbreak is located in a private subsidiary farm in the village of Glukharevo. The territory is closed to the public. Experts will take measures to prevent the spread of rabies.
The quarantine will be in effect for 179 days after the destruction of the corpse of a sick animal.
In 2024, 12 cases of rabies were registered in the region. In addition, 66 foci of bovine leukemia were identified, as well as cases of trichinosis in bears and badgers.
