Over the past week, 18 people have suffered from tick bites in the Tula region. There are six children among them.

According to TSN24, a total of 66 medical visits have been registered since March 1. 83 pests were submitted to the laboratory for research. 10% of the ticks turned out to be carriers of borreliosis.

Tick activity is five times higher than last year.

Doctors remind us that ticks can carry various diseases. In this case, the first symptoms of infection may appear a month after the bite. For example, borreliosis manifests itself as erythema migrans (a red spot that increases in size and often resembles a target). Symptoms of tick-borne encephalitis include fever, headache, and general weakness.
