Zakharova pointed to the hostility of Moldova's line towards Russia

The collection of intelligence by an ex-Moldovan intelligence officer in Russia is another manifestation of Chisinau's hostile line towards Moscow. This was announced on April 24 by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, at a briefing.
"This is another manifestation, I mean, such actions that were identified and suppressed by the Russian FSB are another manifestation of the hostile line of the Moldovan authorities towards our country," Zakharova said.
In addition, she added that by their actions, the Moldovan authorities specifically want to sever relations with Russia, as well as complicate the lives of their citizens.
The day before, the FSB said that Dmitry Rusnak, an ex-employee of the Moldovan special services, who came to Russia to collect intelligence information, was expelled from the country. It was clarified that the man arrived in Russia in 2024 with a mission in which he needed to collect secret information about the plans of the Russian leadership in relation to Moldova.
Later it became known that Rusnak was personally trained by the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate (GUR) of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Kirill Budanov (included in the list of terrorists and extremists in the Russian Federation).
