At a meeting in London, the British delegation tried to convince Ukraine to bring its positions closer to the United States on the settlement of the conflict. This was reported by The Telegraph newspaper on April 24.

"Although the UK supports Kiev's position, diplomats used meetings in London on Wednesday to urge Ukrainians to move closer to the proposal presented by Washington," the article says.

At the same time, officials believe that the United States may not be a participant in the negotiation process if the American side does not see "clear progress" from Ukraine's actions.

On the eve of the American leader Donald Trump said that the United States is experiencing more difficulties in negotiations with Ukraine than with Russia, with which agreements have been practically reached. The American leader also expressed the hope that the Russian and Ukrainian sides will be able to reach an agreement.

On the same day, the foreign ministers of France and Germany postponed a meeting in London to resolve the conflict in Ukraine. It was noted that US Secretary of State Marco Rubio was supposed to come to London to meet with the foreign ministers, but canceled his trip after statements by Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky about Crimea.
