Kovalchuk pointed to the superiority of the Russian nuclear triad

Currently, the Russian nuclear triad is the best in the world. This was announced on April 24 by Mikhail Kovalchuk, President of the Kurchatov Institute Research Center.

"Our president [Vladimir Putin] has been strengthening nuclear capabilities, and today our nuclear triad is the best in the world," Kovalchuk said during a speech at the conference "Environmental Problems of the Arctic Territories."

In addition, he admitted that five years ago he was convinced that the United States was ready to launch a nuclear strike against Russia. According to him, the United States would have dropped nuclear charges on the country "to scare and bring the Russian Federation to its senses." However, thanks to the Russian nuclear triad, "no one would think of attacking Russia today," Kovalchuk added.
