Chery unveils new flagship Tiggo 9L in China

Chery has unveiled the Tiggo 9L full-size crossover, which will take its flagship place in the SUV line of the Chinese brand. This was reported by the Izvestia correspondent from the Shanghai Motor Show on April 24.

The Tiggo 9L differs from other models in the Tiggo family by a more brutal and "angular" exterior design in the style of frame SUVs. The novelty has received advanced autonomous driving systems — a lidar sensor is located on the roof.

Technical details have not yet been clarified, but it is known that the Tiggo 9L will become a global model, so it has a chance to appear on the Russian market. Currently, Chery's flagship crossover in Russia is the smaller Tiggo 9, which is known in China as the Tiggo 8L.

Earlier, on April 18, Chery announced the launch of sales of the Tiggo 7L crossover in Russia. The car is presented in three trim levels in front-wheel drive and with an alternative 1.6 turbo engine with a capacity of 150 hp (275 Nm) paired with a seven-speed "robot".
