Since the beginning of the season, the largest kicksharing companies MTS Yrent, Whoosh and Yandex Go have issued 26,640 fines to Russians. This is four times more than in the same period of 2024, follows from the data of the companies, which was reviewed by Izvestia on April 24.

The increase in fines is explained by the increased demand for trips using shared means of individual mobility and the improvement of the mechanics of detecting violators.

In addition, the services blocked about 190 thousand user accounts. About a third of the locks were on accounts of minors or those who handed over control to them.

Operators identify trips of children and teenagers by contacting support with photo and video evidence, as well as through their own technical solutions: data from mobile operators, banking services, integration with Mos ID.

At the same time, among the common violations are improper parking (about 70%), unhurrying at a pedestrian crossing (15% of fines) and riding together on one scooter (10% of fines).

Earlier, on April 17, it was reported that the speed limit for all electric scooters of kicksharing operators in Russia had decreased to 20 km/h. This is 20% less than the maximum permitted speed of personal mobility vehicles, according to the rules of the road.

Prior to that, on March 29, Elena Kosheleva, Director of Sberbank Insurance projects, told Izvestia how to choose a scooter. She advised to take into account the technical condition, to make sure that the vehicle is working properly. Many rental services offer vehicles with an electronic braking system — this choice will make trips safer due to a more reliable design and rapid deceleration, the expert noted.
