A suspect in the preparation of a terrorist attack was detained in the Nizhny Novgorod region.

In the Nizhny Novgorod region, a local resident was detained on suspicion of preparing a terrorist attack. This was announced on April 24 by the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the region.

"A 50-year—old resident of the Lyskovsky district was detained, who, on the instructions of unknown persons, planned to set fire to a television tower with equipment from a mobile provider in the city of Lyskovo," the department's Telegram channel said.
