A criminal case has been opened into the murder of a resident of the Dmitryukov farm in the Kursk region by militants of the armed formations of Ukraine (VFU). This was announced on April 24 by the press service of the Investigative Committee of Russia.
They noted that the settlement located near Suji was among those that were attacked by Ukrainian units in August 2024.
"According to the results of the inspection of the scene, the investigation has already established the fact of the murder of a resident of this settlement by Ukrainian servicemen," the department said.
According to the son of the deceased, the militants of the UFA demanded the elderly man to give up the keys to his car, threatening to burn down the vehicle and the house. The pensioner was forced to give up the car. Later, the man's body was found with gunshot wounds.
"The father was found in the house, in his house, near a broken window. There are no traces of explosions in the courtyard. Most likely, it's from small arms. The whole yard is intact, one window is broken," the son of the murdered man noted during the interrogation.
A criminal case has been opened under paragraphs "b" of part 3 of art. 205 and ("Terrorist act") and paragraphs "a", "c" of part 3 of art. 356.1 of the Criminal Code ("Looting").
The official representative of the Investigative Committee of Russia, Svetlana Petrenko, reported on April 5 that in March, militants of the Armed Forces of Ukraine threatened a civilian in the Kursk region with weapons and severely beat him for not knowing the Ukrainian language. A criminal case has been opened on the grounds of a crime under paragraphs "a" and "b" of Part 2 of Article 205 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Terrorist act").
