A man who desecrated the Eternal Flame was arrested in the Angara region


The man who desecrated the memorial with the Eternal Flame in Irkutsk received 10 days of arrest. This was reported by the press service of the Main Directorate (GU) of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Irkutsk region.
According to the agency, the driver of the Toyota Corona car violated the rules of the road by driving along the footpath next to the Eternal Flame, where the movement of vehicles is prohibited.
Law enforcement agencies detained the violator and found out that he did not have a driver's license. He was also intoxicated. Five administrative protocols were drawn up against the man.
"The car has been placed on the arrest site. The court chose a preventive measure in the form of administrative arrest for 10 days," the Telegram channel says.
On April 9, a group of teenagers desecrated the Eternal Flame memorial on Glory Square in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk. A criminal case has been opened into the incident under Article 354.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Rehabilitation of Nazism").
