On April 24, Kamila Tabeeva, an endocrinologist and expert in preventive and anti-age medicine at the European Medical Center (EMC), spoke about the symptoms of an adrenal tumor. She attributed to them "marble" skin, redness of the face, a feeling of inner trembling, unfounded fear, sudden heavy sweating.

The doctor explained that pheochromocytoma is a hormonally active tumor of the adrenal gland and is formed from special cells that produce adrenaline and norepinephrine. According to her, this disease occurs in one person out of 200 thousand.

Among the symptoms that occur most often is a sudden increase in systolic pressure (pressure on the walls of blood vessels during contraction of the heart muscle), but there may be other signs, Tabeeva said.

According to her, if a patient has diabetes mellitus and hypertension at normal body weight, this may indicate a tumor of the adrenal gland.
