A natural fire has approached the village of Usugli in the Trans-Baikal Territory, efforts are being made to prevent the further advance of the fire. On April 24, local residents told Izvestia about the situation in the region.

"I've never seen such a big, long fire in my life. At a distance of 200 km, almost everything is burned out. You drive, and you can see that the firebrands are either smoking or burning. There are trunks that burned down to the very top, whole glades burned out," said Alexander Tulkevich, a resident of the village of Usugli.

According to residents of Transbaikalia on social media, peat is burning in the region. It is almost impossible to extinguish it.
