European countries have begun the process of preparing for a confrontation with Russia without cover, and some representatives of Western political and military circles want to complete it by 2030. This was announced on April 24 by the Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation, Sergei Shoigu.

"An undisguised campaign is unfolding in Europe to prepare for a military conflict with the Russian Federation. The possible terms of such a collision are announced at different levels — from three to five years. As early as 2030, European politicians and the military want to be ready to fight with us," he said in an interview with TASS.

At the same time, Shoigu also stressed that despite the attempts of the Kiev authorities to prolong the fighting and at the same time it is more profitable to sell the natural resources, territory and future of the people of Ukraine to Europe in exchange for financing and weapons, the country's economy is still in a state of deep crisis and depends on Western aid.

"The national debt [of Ukraine] is growing, which by the end of 2024 has grown to $167 billion," Shoigu said.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, speaking at a diplomatic forum in Antalya on April 12, said that NATO's efforts are now focused on preparing for a new confrontation, led by Germany, France and the United Kingdom. At the same time, he stressed that Euro-Atlantic structures have failed in ensuring security and stability.
