Izvestia correspondent Alexander Safiulin reported that after practicing a combat mission, an FPV drone of Ukrainian militants flew next to the Russian equipment, as a result of which the Grad multiple launch rocket system (MLRS) broke windows and flattened wheels. The soldiers evacuated the car to the garage, where specialists began repair work.

"We do everything as quickly as possible, in terms of time, I think that the maximum day is everything will be removed," said mechanic Alexey Kopylov.

Russian specialists can repair machines in a local workshop, which makes the process faster. According to them, now the guns do not need to be sent to the manufacturing plant and wait for months for its return to service. For example, the 2S19 Msta-S and 2S7M Malka self-propelled artillery units had their engine and barrel replaced.

"At this stage, repairs and restoration are being carried out due to the abundant use of FPV drones. Shrapnel damage, and the combustion engine is also being repaired and restored," said Evgeny Chepankov, commander of the repair and restoration battalion of the Center group of forces.
