Wilfand predicted frosts and sleet in Moscow and the region over the weekend
Rain, sleet and overnight frosts of up to +1 are expected in the Moscow region next weekend, on April 26 and 27...+2 degrees, while the daytime temperature will be 4 degrees below normal. This was announced on April 24 by the scientific director of the Hydrometeorological Center Roman Vilfand.
"It's cloudy in the capital on Friday, with occasional rain at night, and moderate rain with thunderstorms in the afternoon. The temperature will be +6 at night...+11 degrees Celsius, during the day — +13...+15, this is 3 degrees above normal. But on Saturday, information was released about a sudden change in the weather: light precipitation in the form of rain and sleet will occur in places in the Moscow region," Vilfand said in an interview with TASS.
He explained that the temperature at night in Moscow will be in the range of 0...+5 degrees, and frosts of up to -2 degrees are possible in places in the region. In the afternoon, the temperature background in the capital is forecast at +7...+9 degrees, and in the region — +5...+10, which is 4 degrees below normal.
The meteorologist added that on Sunday night, April 27, the temperature in the metropolitan region will be in the -1 range...+4, and the daily values will be +5...+10 degrees. Clouds with clarifications and a "small snowfall" are also expected, according to the forecast. According to Vilfand, on Monday, April 28, due to high pressure, night temperatures will reach -2...+3 degrees, and in the afternoon it will be about +10 degrees, a northwesterly wind is forecast.
On the same day, the Hydrometeorological Center reported that cloudy weather and occasional rain were expected for residents of the capital region on April 24. The air temperature in Moscow will range from +18 to +20 degrees during the day. At night, the thermometer will drop to +8.
