Moscow's embankments have been prepared for the opening of navigation

Embankments in Moscow have been prepared for the start of navigation. This was announced on Wednesday, April 23, by the Deputy Mayor of the capital for Housing and Communal Services and landscaping, Peter Biryukov.

According to him, the specialists of the municipal economy complex have put 78 embankments in order. Among them are Kremlevskaya, Frunzenskaya, Kotelnicheskaya, Krymskaya, Prechistenskaya embankments located in the city center, writes RT.

Granite parapets were washed, walkways to the water and sidewalks were renovated, cast-iron railings were painted, the Moscow City News agency reports.

Biryukov added that in the summer, work will be carried out in the capital to stitch the seams of the granite cladding of a number of embankments. This will make the operation of the facilities safer.

Earlier in April, specialists from the metropolitan complex of urban economy began flushing the Stone Flower fountain at VDNH. Soft brushes and a solution of citric acid are used to remove impurities from bronze and cast-iron elements, as well as from smalt mosaics, Moscow 24 notes.
