Germany, Britain and France are trying to find ways to push the Kiev regime to make territorial concessions to resolve the conflict in Ukraine due to concerns about a possible US withdrawal from the negotiation process. This was reported on April 23 by the Financial Times newspaper, citing a source.

It is noted that the three states are trying to find a "landing zone" that may "suggest some movement by Kiev towards ceding territories as the end point of negotiations." The source of the publication did not specify which territorial concessions were being discussed.

On April 23, American leader Donald Trump drew attention to the fact that the statement by Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky about the refusal to recognize Crimea as Russian territory hinders the peaceful settlement of the conflict. The US president clarified that the situation for Ukraine is terrible, and its president, by continuing the conflict, "may lose the whole country in a few years."

On the same day, The Washington Post stressed that the United States was outraged by Ukraine's refusal to recognize Crimea as Russian territory. According to the newspaper, representatives of the American delegation canceled their visit to London to participate in the negotiations because of this.
