The body needs vitamins, but it is impossible to take them uncontrollably. This was announced on April 23 by Olga Buzuverova, a cardiologist, internist, and leading specialist of the Semeynaya clinic network.

According to her, in addition to a healthy lifestyle, proper sleep and physical activity, it is necessary to observe a balanced diet and sufficient intake of essential trace elements, vitamins and fatty acids in the body. She attributed iron, copper, selenium, iodine, chromium, zinc, fluorine, manganese, silicon, omega 3-6-9, as well as vitamins D, C, A, E and group B.

The expert clarified that these substances are involved in the regulation of the body, immunity, metabolism and are necessary for the functioning of the nervous, cardiovascular, immune system, as well as for the synthesis of hormones. In addition, according to her, they stabilize the psycho-emotional state, improve mood and are used for chronic fatigue syndrome.

"It is important to remember that constant uncontrolled intake of vitamins or taking increased doses is not correct, or having a deficiency in a particular person does not mean that another person will have the same deficiency. It is worth noting that the appointment of medicinal products or supplements should be carried out by a doctor, since there are a number of features in dosage and administration, some substances do not combine with each other, some have contraindications or may cause allergic reactions," she clarified in an interview with Gazeta.Ru».

Buzuverova noted that B vitamins and iron are best taken on an empty stomach and washed down with water. Other drinks, she says, interfere with the absorption of vitamins and minerals. The expert clarified that omega 3-6-9 is taken with meals, and fat-soluble vitamins A, E, D and K are recommended to be taken after meals and separately.

In addition, the doctor pointed out the importance of preventive vaccination, the purpose of which is to form immunity. However, she noted that proper preparation is necessary for vaccination, which includes consultation with a specialist to select the most appropriate drug, taking into account physiological factors. She called the assessment of the state of health for patients with chronic diseases another important element.

"The doctor will assess the state of health and may identify contraindications for which vaccination should be postponed. Vaccination is not carried out during colds, during exacerbation of chronic diseases, or during allergic reactions. At least two weeks should pass between full recovery and the introduction of the vaccine," Buzoverova concluded.

On April 22, Aminat Gappoeva, an endocrinologist at SM Clinic, shared with Izvestia that an overabundance of vitamin D can also be dangerous, as well as its deficiency. According to her, the symptoms of overabundance may be non-specific and characteristic of other diseases. The expert called the study of the concentration of total 25 (OH) the correct method for determining the level of vitamin DD in the blood serum.
