Avdeev announced the gradual normalization of the situation in the Kirzhachsky district.

The Governor of the Vladimir region, Alexander Avdeev, said on April 23 that the situation in the Kirzhachsky district of the Vladimir region, where the detonation of ammunition took place, was gradually stabilizing.

"Of the 42 settlements and farming co—ops where gas was turned off last night, the supply of natural fuel has already been restored in nine. <...> 659 subscribers are connected, 3411 remain without gas," Avdeev wrote in his Telegram channel.

According to him, residents of the villages of Barsovo, Dubki, as well as the Dubki, Mirny and Zvezdny farms remain in temporary accommodation facilities. The police are on duty around the clock in the evacuated settlements, no cases of violations have been recorded.

"Today, from 22:00, enterprises will be able to resume work. Children will go to schools and kindergartens tomorrow," Avdeev said.

The detonation of ammunition occurred on April 22 as a result of a fire on the territory of a military unit, the Russian Defense Ministry said. The cause of the fire was called a violation of safety requirements when working with explosive materials.

Later it became known that four people were injured due to the incident, three of them were hospitalized. On April 23, Avdeev reported that no major damage had been recorded in the settlements of the Kirzhachsky district after the detonation of ammunition.
