Peskov announced Russia's readiness to negotiate gas supplies to the EU

Moscow sees that a number of EU countries are ready to buy Russian gas again and is ready to negotiate on this issue. This was stated on April 23 by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov in an interview with the French magazine Le Point .
"We are ready to negotiate on our gas and we know that some European countries want to continue buying it from us," he said.
According to Peskov, Russia has never politicized the issue of fuel supplies to the EU. The Kremlin representative stressed that decisions on this issue will be made on a commercial basis.
On April 17, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said that the topic of the EU's return to gas supplies from Russia periodically arises against the background of deteriorating relations between Europe and the United States, but the EU's policy in this area needs to be assessed based on specific facts, she noted.
