In the city of Lviv in Ukraine, work has begun on the relocation of the Hill of Glory memorial to Soviet soldiers. This was reported on April 23 by the Ukrainian newspaper Novosti.Live».
"The works have been approved by the Ministry of Culture, and the customer is the Lychakiv Cemetery Museum. As part of the research and exhumation of the remains, in particular, the <scout> Nikolai Kuznetsov <...> will be reburied at the Goloskovsky cemetery," the publication notes.
The work is expected to take about two months. The memorial is one of the largest monuments to Soviet soldiers in western Ukraine.
Earlier, on January 16, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said that the process of demolishing monuments to the heroes of the Great Patriotic War (WWII), which is taking place in Ukraine under the rule of President Vladimir Zelensky, is anti-human and beyond the bounds of morality.
