Salavat Yulaev defeated Spartak Moscow and reached the semifinals of the Gagarin Cup

The Salavat Yulaev hockey Club from Ufa beat Spartak Moscow in the sixth match of the Gagarin Cup quarterfinal series and advanced to the semifinals of the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) playoffs.

The meeting was held in Ufa and ended with a score of 3:2 in favor of the hosts. This game was the seventh in the series and allowed the Ufa team to advance to the next stage.

Forwards Sheldon Rempal, Vladislav Efremov and defender Alexei Vasilevsky scored for Salavat Yulaev. The pucks were scored by forward Ivan Morozov and defender Daniil Orlov.

The Ufa team won the series 4-3 and advanced to the semifinals of the Gagarin Cup for the sixth time. The team won the trophy in the 2010/11 season.
