More than 190 civilians have died in the Kursk region since the beginning of the invasion by the Ukrainian Armed Forces

Since the beginning of the invasion of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) In the Kursk region, 191 civilians were killed and 372 more were injured. This was announced on April 23 by the press service of the Investigative Committee (IC) of the Russian Federation.

"Since the illegal invasion of Ukrainian militants into the territory of Russia in August 2024, the death of 191 civilians in the Kursk region has been established, 372 people have been injured, including 17 minors. Civilian infrastructure facilities have been destroyed and partially damaged," the department's Telegram channel says.

Law enforcement officers have already initiated 175 criminal cases against 290 captured servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, of which 41 cases against 98 persons have already been considered by the court. The investigators recognized and interrogated more than 49 thousand people as victims.

It is also clarified that the criminal prosecution of foreigners who are involved in terror in the territory of the Kursk region continues. Among them are citizens of Paraguay, a Danish citizen, and mercenaries from Brazil, Malta, Peru, Colombia, and other countries.

Earlier, on April 16, the Investigative Committee of Russia opened a criminal case into the murder of three civilians in the Kolmakov farm in the Kursk region, committed by the Ukrainian Armed Forces. It is noted that evidence has been collected confirming the involvement of Ukrainian servicemen in the crime. Forensic medical examinations have been appointed, and identification of the dead is planned.
