The political scientist admitted London's cowardice in helping Kiev

London will show cowardice in helping Kiev. This opinion was shared by Alexander Konkov, associate professor of the Department of Political Science at the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation, in an interview with Izvestia on April 23.
"In this regard, [London's] task is rather to surround itself with partners and dump on them all the financial and material risks that are associated with helping Kiev, and rather fill the information and analytical space. Therefore, London will not take the courage on its own and, frankly, will show cowardice in this regard," he said.
The political scientist added that the UK would not "go alone to the embrasure." According to him, London will help Kiev only with the support of its allies, primarily France, as well as the Brussels apparatus — the European Commission (EC) and the European Council.
"Accordingly, the UK has no obligations. But from the point of view of encouragement, from the point of view of any assent, encouragement, of course, London will play a key role here," the expert emphasized.
He also recalled that the UK is actively involved in the military training of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). At the same time, according to him, the country is less likely to send weapons to Kiev due to the fact that it itself is currently in a rather vulnerable position.
The Paper newspaper reported on April 22 that British Defense Minister John Healey said that the kingdom's assistance to Ukraine was the most significant and important. It was noted that the UK seeks to "put Kiev in the strongest possible position on the battlefield and during negotiations, as well as prepare the foundation for lasting peace."
On March 2, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that the United States was directly talking about its desire to end the conflict in Ukraine, but Europe was demanding "the continuation of the banquet."
