Hongqi has introduced an SUV and a flying car for the first time

The Chinese company Hongqi presented a number of new products at the Shanghai Auto Show, including a large SUV. This was reported from the scene by a correspondent of Izvestia on April 23.

The Hongqi SUV does not have a name yet, the conceptual model is still referred to as the Offroad ("off-road"). A competition has been announced to develop a name for an SUV, the winner of which will receive a car as a gift. The novelty has massive bumpers, a large radiator grille, plastic protection on the body, a spare wheel on the fifth door, as well as a roof rack and cargo mounts on the stern. The technical specifications of the new product have not yet been specified.

Another Hongqi debut was the Hongqi Tianlin 1 flying car. It consists of two modules — the ground landing gear and the cockpit with vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL). According to the calculations of the developers, the air model is capable of reaching speeds of up to 150 km / h and traveling up to 200 km.

Hongqi also showed a hybrid modification of the H5 sedan at the motor show. In the PHEV version, it has a 1.5-liter engine (150 hp) and an electric motor (228 hp). It is claimed that the system allows you to drive up to 1600 km at the start with a full tank and a fully charged battery.

In the segment of all—electric models, Hongqi has two new products - the Tiangong 05 and Tiangong 06 crossovers. Both have advanced autonomous driving features and high-tech equipment. The Five can travel up to 850 km on a single charge, while the Six accelerates from zero to a hundred in 3.5 seconds.

Earlier that day, it became known that the Hongqi L1 luxury sedan will appear in Russia in the fall. The car is currently undergoing certification.
