Part of the funds from the charity edition of the Russian Lotto will be used to help veterans of the Great Patriotic War.

Stoloto will hold a charity run of the Russian Lotto on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War. According to the organizers, part of the funds received during the raffle will be transferred to the Memory of Generations Foundation to provide targeted assistance to veterans and medical and social institutions in the regions of Russia.

In particular, the money will be used to pay for the rehabilitation of veterans, the services of nurses, the purchase of rehabilitation facilities and the renovation of medical equipment. The amount that will be allocated to charity will be announced during the broadcast of the draw on May 11 on the federal TV channel.

As Varvara Basanovich, Stoloto's Chief Operating Officer for Marketing, noted, "participation in the festive Russian Lotto lottery in honor of Victory Day will be another reason to gather with loved ones, gratefully remember the heroes and help WWII veterans who need our support and attention."

In turn, Natalia Rusakova, Chief Operating Officer of the Memory of Generations Foundation, noted that "business does not remain indifferent to participating in charity events aimed at helping veterans of the Great Patriotic War." The funds that will be raised during the charity run will help "improve the quality of life and medical care for veterans," she added.

Since 2014, all lotteries in Russia have been state—owned, organized by the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Sports of the Russian Federation, and they are conducted under the state supervision of the Federal Tax Service of Russia. State lotteries distributed by Stoloto are a significant source of replenishment of budgets at various levels of the Russian Federation in order to finance socially significant facilities and activities, including activities for the development of physical culture and sports, high-performance sports and the sports reserve training system, thus making a proportionate contribution to improving the quality of life of Russians.
