A man died while rafting on the Belaya River in Adygea, a criminal case has been opened. This was announced on April 23 by the Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the republic.

It is specified that on April 21, an individual entrepreneur organized rafting on the Belaya River for four tourists and an instructor. During a sporting event, the raft capsized, causing one of the passengers to drown, unable to get ashore due to strong currents.

A criminal case has been opened on this fact under Part 2 of Article 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Provision of services that do not meet safety requirements, resulting in the death of a person"). The details of the incident are currently being determined.

"The reasons for the provision of services by an individual entrepreneur that do not meet the requirements for the safety of life or health of consumers are being clarified," the department's Telegram channel says.

On April 22, a man drowned in a well while staying at his dacha in the Krasnopakhorsky district of Moscow. According to preliminary information, he fell into an underground spring due to carelessness.
