Generics should not be more expensive than the original drugs. This was announced on April 23 by Marina Dorofeeva, a neurologist, Candidate of Medical Sciences, doctor of the highest category, a leading researcher at the Department of Neuropsychiatry and Epileptology of the Yu.E. Veltishchev National Research Institute of Pediatrics of the Pirogov Russian National Research Medical University of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, in the press center of the Izvestia Research Center as part of a round table on the topic: "Rare adults: direct public conversation."

According to the doctor, generics should not cost more than the original drugs, and parents should have the right to choose a medicine for a sick child.

She also noted that generics should be accessible: parents should not have to do a lot of paperwork, because time is running out. She clarified that in severe diseases, the drug is urgently needed, otherwise time will be lost and patients will not have a chance to preserve their intelligence.
