Soldiers of the Russian Armed Forces put to flight units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Gornala in the Kursk region

As part of the North group of forces, the military of the 810th Separate Guards Marine Brigade ousted units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) from key fortified positions in the area of the Gornal settlement liberated in the Kursk region. The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation publishes combat work footage on April 23.

"The military personnel <...> continue to carry out their assigned combat missions to liberate the occupied territories of the Kursk region, putting units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to flight," the ministry said in a statement.

It is specified that the guards eliminated the AFU militants in Gornala and the border area of the Kursk region with complex fire damage.

On the eve of the Russian military liberated the Gornal St. Nicholas Belogorsky Monastery in the Kursk region from the occupation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. It was noted that the monastery served as a military facility for Ukrainian militants, on the territory of which artillery installations and drone control points were located.

Later, the military of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation spoke about the current situation in the vicinity of the monastery. The commander of the 5th battalion of the 810th brigade with the call sign Graver clarified that the forest belts in the vicinity of Gornal are being cleared, and Russian fighters are inflicting fire damage on the fortified positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
