Dutch customs seized two shipments of cocaine worth €16 million


During two inspections, Dutch customs found two shipments of cocaine with a total weight of 633 kg and a retail value of about €16 million. This is reported on April 23 Nu.nl .
One shipment of cocaine was discovered on Friday at a facility in Barendrecht. The substance was packed in plastic avocados, one of which fell to the ground and opened. Customs officers found a package of drugs inside.
According to the State Prosecution Service, the shipment consisted of 80 kg of cocaine divided into 400 fake avocados. A larger shipment of 553 kg was discovered during a raid in the port of Rotterdam last weekend.
Currently, both parties have been destroyed.
On April 2, Portuguese police detained an underwater vessel in the Atlantic Ocean that was carrying 6.5 tons of cocaine. Due to its design, the vessel was partially on the surface. There were five crew members on board.
