Vladimir Zaitsev, a former football player and coach of Rubin, has died.

Vladimir Zaitsev, a former football player and coach of FC Rubin, has died at the age of 82. This was reported on the FC website on April 22.

"On April 22, 2025, Rubin veteran Vladimir Ivanovich Zaitsev died. The club expresses its deepest condolences to the family and friends of Vladimir Ivanovich," the message says.

Vladimir Zaitsev started his sporting career with the Kazan Iskra. Later, in 1967, he ended up at Rubin, where he stayed until 1971. He played 172 games with them and scored six goals. In addition, Zaitsev worked as a coach in such clubs as Rubin, Strela, and Volna.
