Temporary departure and landing restrictions have been introduced at Kazan Airport. This was announced on April 23 by the representative of the Federal Air Transport Agency Artem Korenyako.

"Temporary restrictions on the reception and release of aircraft have been introduced since 12:45 Moscow time <...> at Kazan airport," he wrote on his Telegram channel.

The Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation noted that a UAV threat mode has been introduced in the city.

"Attention! An "Unmanned danger" mode has been declared on the territory of the city of Kazan since 13:40 Moscow time," the Ministry of Emergency Situations said in an appendix.

Later, the Russian Defense Ministry announced the destruction of one drone over the territory of Tatarstan. Then Korenyako reported that at 14:07 Moscow time, restrictions on the admission and release of aircraft were lifted. Five planes went to alternate airfields, he added.

Following this, the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations confirmed the "withdrawal of the threat" of the UAV attack in Kazan.

In March, the head of North Ossetia, Sergei Menyailo, announced that a UAV danger regime had been declared in the region and a Carpet plan had been introduced. Vladikavkaz airport was closed for receiving and dispatching aircraft.
