A criminal case was opened after the murder of a policeman in the Leningrad region


A criminal case has been opened into the murder of a policeman in Kingisepp, Leningrad region. This was announced on April 23 by the Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the region (SU IC RF).
"The Kingisepp interdistrict investigative Department of the SU IC of Russia for the Leningrad region has opened a criminal case on the grounds of a crime under Article 317 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Assault on the life of a law enforcement officer")," the agency's Telegram channel says.
Investigative actions aimed at establishing the location of the attacker are currently underway. The investigation of the criminal case is ongoing.
The murder of a policeman in Kingisepp, Leningrad region, became known earlier that day. It is specified that the operative noticed a passerby who looked like a wanted criminal. During the arrest, the suspect stabbed him in the neck and fled.
