A solemn ceremony of awarding the winners of the IV All-Russian photo Contest "The World through the eyes of Children" was held at the Central House of the Russian Army (CDRA). Pavel Volkov, a photojournalist at Izvestia, joined the jury for the first time in 2025. His rich experience and unique perspective on photography have become a valuable contribution to the appreciation of the work of young photographers.
The competition was held in three stages, starting from December last year to April 2025. During the event, the organizing committee received more than 1,500 works from participants representing 68 regions of Russia. The work of the participants was evaluated by a competent jury consisting of professional photographers, journalists, representatives of the military and public figures.
The photo contest "The World through the eyes of children" included several nominations: "The world of animals and plants", "In the service of the Fatherland", "My Homeland" and "Nature of Russia". These topics allowed the young photographers to demonstrate not only their skills, but also their creative approach to their chosen topic.
The highest award, the Grand Prix of the competition, went to Sergei Shelepeyev, a graduate of the Moscow Suvorov Military School. His photograph, "Suvorov McSWU soldiers at the Victory Day Parade," conveys the power and grandeur of the moment, filled with military discipline, pride for the country and triumph.
Leonid Grushevsky from Nizhny Novgorod became the best in the nomination "In the service of the Fatherland" with a touching photo "A friend's shoulder". Taisiya Kurkina from Balashikha won over the jury with her work "Bereginya" in the nomination "My Homeland". Igor Severinov from Murmansk won the nomination "Nature of Russia" with the mesmerizing shot "Snow Fluff", and Yaroslav Savchenko from Tula was recognized as the best in the nomination "World of animals and plants" for his photo "Red-haired friend".
Every year, the photo contest is held by the Central House of the Russian Army for the purpose of spiritual, moral, and civic-patriotic education of the younger generation, as well as in order to reveal the creative abilities and aesthetic taste of young amateur photographers.
