Naryshkin called the ban of EU officials on arrival in Moscow on May 9 disgusting.

The ban imposed by officials of the European Union (EU) on visiting Moscow during the celebration of Victory Day in the Great Patriotic War (WWII) on May 9 is disgusting. This was announced on April 23 by Sergey Naryshkin, Director of the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR).
"It's disgusting. The position is immoral, which removes the mask from the face of those politicians who address their colleagues with such threats," Naryshkin told TASS.
According to him, such threats mean that the victory over fascism for European officials is "not a holiday, but an annoyance." In addition, he added that this restriction shows that EU officials are on the losing side.
On April 14, the EU's High Representative for Foreign Affairs, Kaya Kallas, warned European officials that if they visited Russia to participate in Victory Day celebrations, they would face "consequences."
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov called her statement harsh and incorrect on April 15. He noted that such threats should be assessed by the States to which they are addressed.
