The bitcoin (BTC) exchange rate continues to grow steadily, approaching a historical maximum. On April 23, the value of the first cryptocurrency reached $94.3 thousand, adding more than 10% in a week after exiting the sideways movement in which BTC has been since the beginning of March. This was told to Izvestia by Rafik Mamin, CEO of Minestream.
"The current jump is related to several factors at once. Firstly, investors are actively returning to the crypto market after a period of uncertainty. The increase in liquidity in futures and the increase in trading volumes indicate increased interest from both institutional and retail participants. Secondly, the breakdown of the Short-Term Holder Realized Price level played a key role — this is an important technical mark, after which accelerated growth often begins," he explained.
According to him, if bitcoin stays above $95 thousand in the coming weeks, then by June 2025 the exchange rate could reach $ 100 thousand.
"The Relative Strength Index (RSI) has not yet entered the overbought zone, which leaves room for growth. Everything points to a new bullish momentum," the expert noted.
At the same time, he warned of possible corrections due to profit-taking by major players. However, the trend remains upward, and in the medium term, bitcoin may update its historical maximum.

According to him, phishing is one of the most common and dangerous cyber fraud schemes in the crypto industry. It is phishing attacks that cause the loss of funds in most cases. Attackers fake the website of a popular crypto exchange or wallet and distribute a link to it via email, instant messengers or advertising.
