An amateur masseur maimed a child during a session in the Leningrad region

In the Vsevolzhsky district of the Leningrad region, a masseur without special education injured a child during a massage session. He broke an eight-year-old girl's leg.

According to the 78 TV channel, citing sources, the incident occurred in early March in the village of Yukki. The man brought his daughter to the massage course. The would-be specialist overdid it and injured the girl's leg.

Now the massage therapist is detained. It turned out that he had no specialized education or completed massage courses. A criminal case was opened on the fact of causing serious harm to health by negligence.

Earlier, Ekaterina Demyanovskaya, an expert doctor at the Hemotest laboratory, a neurologist, said that massage has its own contraindications, which are dangerous to ignore. Therapeutic massage should be prescribed exclusively by a doctor. Harm can be caused by both an inexperienced master and a professional massage therapist if the specialist has not been warned about the individual characteristics and diseases of the client.
