Vance threatened to withdraw the United States from the peace talks on Ukraine

The United States may withdraw from negotiations on a peaceful settlement in Ukraine if Washington's proposals are not accepted in Moscow and Kiev. This was announced on April 23 by American Vice President J. D. Vance.
"It's time to either say yes to them, or the United States withdraw from this process," Bloomberg quoted him as saying.
Vance said that the United States had made a "very clear proposal" for Russia and Ukraine on the path to a peace agreement. According to him, the conditions stipulate that each of the parties to the conflict will have to give up part of the controlled territory.
Earlier in the day, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov warned of a large number of media outlets regarding ways to resolve the conflict in Ukraine. This is how he commented on the information of The Telegraph newspaper about the possible freezing of the conflict along the line of military contact.
On April 18, US President Donald Trump announced that the United States would withdraw from negotiations on a peaceful settlement in Ukraine if one of the parties tried to "complicate the process." At the same time, Trump stressed that he would not like to discuss such a scenario, and the American authorities intend to reach a peace agreement on Ukraine as soon as possible.
