A criminal case has been opened against a man who shot an eleven-year-old girl in the arm with an air pistol in Moscow when he tried to shoot her dog. This was announced on April 23 by the press service of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation.

"On this fact, the investigative authorities of the Investigative Committee of Russia in Moscow have opened a criminal case on the grounds of a crime under Article 213 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (hooliganism)," the agency said in a Telegram channel.

Chairman of the Investigative Committee Alexander Bastrykin instructed Andrey Strizhov, head of the Main Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the city of Moscow, to report on the progress of the criminal investigation.

On April 22, it was reported that the incident occurred in the evening on Luganskaya Street in the Tsaritsyn district, when the girl and her mother went for a walk, taking their pet with them. As a result of the incident, the minor was injured in the arm and was taken to a medical facility.
