No major damage was recorded in the settlements of the Kirzhachsky district after the detonation of ammunition. This was announced on April 23 by the Governor of the Vladimir region, Alexander Avdeev.

"In the morning, my colleagues and I toured the settlements in the emergency zone, assessed the damage. We visited a manufacturing plant where there is minor damage," he wrote on the VKontakte social network.

Avdeev also noted that no major damage was recorded, windows were mostly broken in houses and apartments.

The detonation of ammunition occurred on April 22 as a result of a fire on the territory of a military unit, the Russian Defense Ministry said. The cause of the fire was called a violation of safety requirements when working with explosive materials.

Later it became known that four people were injured due to the incident, three of them were hospitalized.
