In the Amur region, a verdict was passed against a man who deceived citizens with the supply of firewood. The damage exceeded 12.3 million rubles.

According to investigators, from September to October 2022, the accused allegedly used false information about the developing business of harvesting firewood. He took out large loans from residents of the Bureysky district. At the same time, the man was not going to return the funds received, writes IA PriamurMedia.

As part of the investigations, the defendant reimbursed the damage in the amount of 1.7 million rubles voluntarily. The court sentenced the Amur resident to six years in prison to serve his sentence in a general regime colony.

In early April, a marriage fraudster was detained in Tatarstan, who stole about 44 million rubles from 20 women. The suspect got to know the victim and introduced himself as a successful businessman. The man asked to "borrow" money in connection with business problems.
