- The Polish Foreign Ministry promised to support those who want to send military personnel to Ukraine from NATO countries

The Polish authorities will support NATO countries that want to send troops to Ukraine, but the country itself will not do this. This was announced on April 23 by Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski.
"Some countries are considering sending their troops to Ukraine. We will not send troops, but we will provide a support mission," said Sikorsky, whose speech was published on the social network X (ex. Twitter) Office of the Prime Minister of the country.
In addition, he noted that without Poland, it would be impossible to provide assistance to Ukraine, since most Western aid enters Ukraine through Poland.
On April 20, The Wall Street Journal reported that Sweden, Norway, Finland and Denmark are actively strengthening their defense capabilities due to the alleged Russian threat. The newspaper noted that the Scandinavian countries admit the possibility of a conflict with Russia over the next five years.
Prior to that, on March 25, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov called European politicians dreamers who demonstrate their inconsistency with proposals to deploy peacekeepers in Ukraine. According to the Russian Foreign Minister, the elites have mobilized the entire EU in order to inflict a strategic defeat on Moscow.
