Alexander Ovechkin, captain of the Washington Capitals hockey club, has a dream of winning Olympic gold. On April 23, his sports agent Gleb Chistyakov told Izvestia about this, commenting on information about the possible admission of the Russian national ice hockey team to the 2026 Olympics.

"Sasha has stated more than once that he always enjoys playing for the national team. Especially at tournaments like the Olympics. In this sense, nothing depends on us, but if such a decision is made, Sasha will gladly accept the offer," said Chistyakov.

He added that the hockey player dreams of Olympic gold, but do not get ahead of yourself.
