An employee of a Russian house was arrested in Kyrgyzstan

Natalia Sekerina, who worked at the Russian House in Osh, the regional center of Kyrgyzstan, was arrested on suspicion of allegedly recruiting mercenaries. This was reported on April 23 at the Pervomaisky district court in Bishkek.

"By the resolution of the Pervomaisky District Court of Bishkek, the petition of the investigator for the Department of Internal Affairs of the Main Investigative Department of the State Committee for National Security (State Committee for National Security. — Ed.) of the Kyrgyz Republic on the application of a preventive measure in the form of detention in relation to the accused — to satisfy," TASS quoted a representative of the court's press service.

The woman was arrested for the duration of the investigation until June 17, 2025.

The press service of the Russian Center for Science and Culture told RIA Novosti that the suspect is a citizen of Kyrgyzstan.

"We know Natalia Sekerina as a conscientious, open and responsible employee. We are confident that our employee's rights will be protected and her safety guaranteed. We hope that the investigation will thoroughly understand the essence of the issue," the press service noted.

On April 17, it was reported that the former head of Kyrgyzstan Almazbek Atambayev was found guilty of releasing criminal boss Aziz Batukayev from custody in absentia. According to the Pervomaisky district court, the verdict has already been passed.
