During the meeting, the parties discussed the Kingdom's preparations for participation in SPIEF 2025, where Bahrain will act as a guest country.

Ambassador Ahmed Al-Saati said that the work is being coordinated with the personal participation of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain.

The Russian side noted that Bahrain's participation in the Forum opens up additional opportunities for deepening bilateral cooperation, expanding investment cooperation and promoting key industry initiatives.

We are grateful to His Majesty for his attention to the Forum and look forward to productive cooperation in St. Petersburg," emphasized Anton Kobyakov.

The parties discussed key areas of Bahrain's participation in the forum, including the Russia–Bahrain business dialogue, a meeting of the Russian-Bahraini Business Council, and a ministerial meeting.

"It is a great honor for us to be a guest country of the SPIEF in the year of the 35th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Bahrain and Russia. His Majesty considers participation in the Forum as a strategic international task. We have the deepest respect for the culture and traditions of Russia, its people and its role in the world. We intend to contribute to the development of a dialogue based on mutual trust and respect. And, of course, we support Russia in its right to defend its national interests," the Ambassador noted.

Bahraini companies are expected to participate in the International Cooperation Day, as well as hold a national reception and cultural program, including a performance by a musical group, a gastronomic presentation and a poetry evening.

Following the meeting, the parties confirmed their mutual interest in building a strong and long-term strategic partnership. Bahrain's participation in SPIEF 2025 will be an important stage in the development of Russian-Bahraini relations and an additional impetus to the formation of a sustainable architecture of cooperation.
